Very comfortable room. Great kingsize bed. Balcony with poolview. 50 m to clean beach without lot of people. Extremely tasty breakfast.
Unfortunately, not all the staff know English well.

beautiful resort with a serene atmosphere
The room we stayed in offered an amazing view of the pool and the beach. The beach itself was fine! Breakfast had a wide variety of options that changed daily, keeping it fresh and exciting to start our mornings. I highly recommend indulging in a massage from the on-site therapist by the beach. It was a blissful experience.

New wing is modern new building. Each unit access to the pool is very very convenient. You can swim in a big pool. The environment around the hotel is excellent. You can have pool near the beach and the beach is just beside the hotel building. I enjoy the stay in this hotel.
The location of the hotel is far away from the city centre.

Why it's almost great (but not quite)
The beachfront location is fine! Close access to delicious nearby restaurants makes dining a pleasure. Varied breakfast options kept our mornings exciting. The made-to-order omelet bar was a good touch.
Limited sun loungers left us scrambling for shade during the hot afternoons, and the fitness room lacked sufficient equipment, falling short of expectations for a resort of this caliber.

The hotel is just perfect! It is band new and the design is modern. The pool is very nice and the staff is wonderful, very friendly. The access to the beach is extremely pleasant and the hotel is surrounded by all the needed facilities (motorbike renting agencies, small shops, restaurants, etc.). We are a young couple and we loved our stay. Everything was perfect except the breakfast (not much sweet food for us). I highly recommend this hotel!!

I was only there for one night as a stop over on my way home... it was comfortable and nice enough. Really didnt get to use the facilities.
the location was poor. away from the main area and only a few restaurants and shops nearby. This might be a positive for some people... The bed was the hardest bed I have slept in, in my life

nice pool area, spacious balcony with pool access, proximity to restaurants and markets
The fitness room is shockingly small with limited equipment!!! Bathrooms need serious cleaning and upkeep!!! I expected better cleanliness in a supposed luxury resort!!!

A Beautiful Family Retreat with Helpful Staff
We loved the spacious beachside room and the kind assistance from staff in securing a more favorable view. The nearby MyFriend restaurant offered tasty and affordable meals. Arrive early for sunbeds, as they fill up fast. Our family will return!

Briza Beach Hotel was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We were in mid August 2011 (low season), so it was rather empty - only several rooms were occupied. But the place was very cozy and empty, peaceful beach was wonderful - you may really relax if are looking for a quite place. It was much nicer than Phuket or Ko Samui, where we were later in Aug 2011. Staff was very nice and extremelly helpful (well english speaking). They had good choice of tasty breakfast buffet + a la carte eggs meals (as it was low season). We stayed in Grante Deluxe Room - very spacious, well designed and with great view over the sea. Wifi in rooms was very stable and with good range - we had no problems Skype'ing while seating on the beach :) Additionally, from Khoa Lak you may take one day trips on elephant trekking or canoing in Phang Nga Bay for thb 1500 (Aug 2011 - low season). On these trips there were not as many people as on Phuket trips. We would for sure stay in Briza Hotel next time.
The only problem you may have is the location - although it's located on beautiful beach, it rather far from Khal Lak town (you need to take 150 thb taxi to get there - 10/15 min drive). In the nearby there are some restaurants (we may recommend Mr. Off's bar and restaurant - good food, good prices - like delicioues cashuew chicken for thb 80 - Aug 2011 :) But there only few restaurants and bars, so if you are looking for a busy place with great night life, you may consider other hotel closer to town or prepare yourself for daily taxi/motorbike/car rental service ;)
